Saraswathy Vidyanikethan ,Mulayankavu aims to give every student the very best possible education in order to prepare them for life beyond school. We provide the firm foundation of education based on Indian culture and tradition to mould the character of these young ones in such a way that they will grow as responsible citizen who can serve society and contribute effectively in nation building. Indeed, a major purpose of schooling is to develop good persons. We encourage our students to aim high in their studies, to work hard and to be sensitive to the rights and needs of others. We cultivate in them the love of learning and a desire to excel at every level.

In our great nation, right from ancient times, value based education has been the tradition and our very life was revolved around values and ethics. Therefore we need to inculcate in our students a sense of belonging to this highly valued culture. I personally feel that this Value-based education system is the need of the hour. While academic brilliance is encouraged, we foster the eternal and universal human values of compassion, fearlessness, truth, forgiveness, and non-violence. Our school has a moral ethos embodied in rules, rewards and punishments that convey children what is expected of them, what is right and wrong. Knowledge gained in school is only one goal of education. The primary goals of education should be enabling students to gain knowledge and moral values. Our children will need both in preparing themselves to be good parents and citizens in society.

We imbibe human excellence in our students. Success lies in interdependence, co-existence, and acceptance, tolerance, sharing and caring among members of the civic society. Young minds are sensitized to environmental concerns, nationalism and communal harmony. We are proud of our unique education system-where the modern technology joins hands with the "Panchanga Shikshanam", a culture of ancient philosophy for holistic development, which marks a distinct feature of our school. This philosophy is encapsulated in its motto the ancient Vedic injunction – satyam vada dharmam chara svadhyayat ma pramada: Speak the truth, Practice righteousness, Acquire knowledge for self actualization. Albert Einstein said "it is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge".
